Anyone invloved in a heated thread today?
Anyone involved in a heated thread today on the Sims 3 site?
I've been on like what: 5
1 of them the OP was compeltely dilusion about a mystical beach house that they thought was a hint to seasons.
The OP was blantly rude about it when everyone was proving them wrong.
I've haven't seen that OP back on that thread.

I've been in loads of heated arguments. Most of them, I didn't start (the evidence of that is my post number on that site, because most people that start heated arguments end up banned), but some people just aren't happy unless they are insulting others.
The day that all of that EP7 stuff came up, someone accused me of being rude because I wanted to keep an open mind about what EP7 actually is That pretty quickly turned into a heated argument and, eventually, pointless bickering between the two who had been calling me rude, and I was nowhere to be seen at that point

Uh Oh...I got a warning in my e-mail. Violation of TOS. <grin>
That's okay. I said my piece and I have no regrets. I'll probably get a bannination for calling someone stupid. But then again, they deserved it.

The worst part is that I got a warning for "Board Disruption" for a post made just a few days after he-who-shall-remain-nameless-and-should-never-be-allowed-near-a-computer-again (that is a mouthful ) spent 7 hours spamming the forums with you-know-what.

EA seriously needs to take the moderation away from customer service and put it in the hands of moderators who have a vested interest in keeping the forums clean.
And, as far as heated discussions are concerned...there would be a lot less of them if people would learn when being blunt is appropriate, and when it's better to make the same point in a more tactful and diplomatic way. It does take practice and experience.

Agreed. They also need some new mods, because their English forums only have three. Even the French forums have more than that. And only two of them seem to be active. They also got rid of one of them in January because he spoke out against their terrible moderation.Ginger Dawg wrote:EA seriously needs to take the moderation away from customer service and put it in the hands of moderators who have a vested interest in keeping the forums clean.
